May 23, 2016 - The Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship Committee is looking for new committee members in the education and law fields from among past recipients of the scholarship. This is a volunteer position, and the responsibilities include:
- Reviewing approximately 60 new applications within a two-week period of time in April-May.
- Interviewing candidates over a two-day period of time in mid-May (a and Saturday) at Embassy Suites Hotel in Lynnwood.
- Attending the scholars banquet at Ray’s Boathouse in Seattle (usually third week in July).
- Attending an annual meeting with KeyBank, Trustee, in Seattle.
Apply or Renew
Scholarships are open to high school seniors in King, Snohomish, or Pierce County in Washington state planning to attend a college or university in the state of Washington. Click on "How to Apply" to read the eligibility rules, or "How to Renew" to obtain a renewal application if you are a current recipient.
